10 Bible Verses of Encouragement for the New Year
Be inspired by the following 10 Bible verses of encouragement for the new year that we have gathered together.
If you make new years’ resolutions…
For most people, new year resolutions are talked about and ‘set’ as something out of reach, or difficult to achieve – or even perhaps as a joke – in the vein hope things might be positively different and changed at the end of the year.
While setting new year resolutions can be well intended, perhaps they are not always rooted in scripture, or in line with God’s plan for your life.
Rather than placing resolutions in the form of rules, goals or targets for the year, we encourage you to seek first God and His Word. Taking time out to read about and spend time listening for Him to reveal His good plans and purposes for you in the year ahead. If you are able, try to regularly continue to seek God and set aside time to listen to Him for spiritual direction throughout the whole year.
New Year, New Start
Many people use the phrase ‘new year, new start’. Perhaps this last year has been particularly difficult, and this phrase rings true for you as the year draws to a close and a new year begins. Perhaps you have found that you’ve lost a bit of passion for your spiritual Christian life or feel like you are in a time of wilderness.
Perhaps God will speak afresh to you
Whatever the reason, we hope these 10 Bible verses of encouragement for the new year will help you focus as you seek God for His will and purposes in your life for the new year ahead. We pray that God may speak afresh and to you through these verses.
